This year’s installment of the famous Tucson gem shows was all about affordable color. A focus on aquatic colors were one of the big trends to come out of Tucson this year. This has helped make turquoise a hot commodity. Moonstone is another less traditional gemstone that has made a big splash this year since Tucson due to its unique color and affordability. The hallmark of this wonderful stone is its outer transparency, impressive three-dimensional depth of color and its breathtaking inner play of light that resembles moonshine.
